We are Chorley’s only care providers to fully specialize in Dementia care. We are led by Bradford University trained Dementia specialist manager- Nicolla Bishop, and work with small staff teams. We care for you at home, across all area’s like personal care, activity care, and domestic help- plus outings. Our staff receive unrivaled support and training, and we only ever send you the same 3 members of staff. We are the only care company in town to be completely transparent on pricing (£14 an hour). We really love what we do, have won the national care awards for the best homecare manager Northwest, and have a local authority plus NHS contract means you can see we provide excellent care. We are on the safe trader scheme, and are Age uk iCare ambassadors- but most importantly we give amazing care, and even make a good brew if you ever need to talk dementia care.

We won best homecare manager/company at the Northwest care awards. We were Finalists in the Businesswoman of the year category at the BIBA awards. Our workforce grew and signed up to Diploma’s in care. Skills for care and Age UK signed us up as ambassadors, and we continued to grow our client group. We were judged fully compliant again (5 star) By CQC the industry regulators
We began working with the NHS on End of Life fast track work as well as our dementia specialist work. This was because one of our dementia clients reached end of Life care and the Nurses were happy with how our team managed the Palliative care and approached us about doing more. We have since continued work with the NHS on fast track End of life care, and this is something we are proud to provide. Our staff are now NCFE trained in End of Life care to reflect this. We were also chosen by NHS England (national) to work on a national project around uptake of Personal Budgets in care.
Office Manager Louise joined the company, as owner Nicolla had her first baby. This enabled us to continue as normal, if not better (Louise is very skilled in Care management, Had previously worked in Childrens services both on her own Business and for Councils, and had some Brilliant organisational skills that benefitted home angels massively) We were runners up in a massive 4 categories in the BIBA awards and enlisted by Skills for Care as leaders in a care network. Our Dementia care and End of life care teams are busy and established in the work they do with increased focus on specialist training to always better the care we deliver. We maintained our 5 star CQC rating.
We moved to a bigger more professional office (part of the Business Community on Akhurst business park, Chorley) This reflected how despite the challenges of dementia care, and the emergency end of life care we do, and of course having a baby- The business manages to grow year on year. We agreed a new rate with the NHS to look at remote areas (people needing care living on farms or other rural properties) and began more one to one work privately (a set group of staff caring for people more intensively at home) We look forward to providing more training than ever this year, and an increased look at Activity work within our home care. We are proud to be a regular recruiter of staff, and at being able to raise wages due to the company achievements.
The work we did Launching personal health Budgets with NHS England mean we can now advise social clients on this too. Political changes mean Lancashire social services clients must access personal budgets to be able to choose their homecare providers. Luckily we are uniquely qualified to help you with this. We have been chosen this year to write an Article for the Parliamentary review by Rt Hon Lord Eric Pickles which despite our general disdain for politics around care we were honored to do, to hopefully influence some change. We are widening our approach to take on more general care clients as well as our specialist areas, as care cuts in the area are leading to more people needing help- So we have begun recruiting teams for this too. We attended local Palliative and Dementia conferences and are glad to have our work recognized and supported by Local Clinicians and Commissioners who are fans of the models of care we offer. We have been invited by local surgeries and community groups to hold events and stands there to educate people that this care does exist now, thanks to Home angels Chorley ltd.
It’s rare a client will meet all the staff as we work in teams of 4-6 to aid continuity and trust. All of these staff are trained in a massive vareity of topics as well as Induction standards- and all either have or are on the NVQ Diploma courses.
